Iranian Forces State Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in retaliation for a "massive" and continuing assault targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area near the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any destruction is not yet known and the United States has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house American military installations - stated they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their airspace.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far struck locations associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to rise up against the government.
Regional Fallout
In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the projectiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted missile fragments fell on a residential area in the capital, causing some material damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
